Looking back at some of my reviews of 2008 I can’t help but express how much I hate doing reviews sometimes. Sometimes you get excited for a newly released cd and love it for the first couple listens. Some are great cds with good sound but then later on you read what others stated in their reviews and second guess your own opinion. Children Of Bodom have released the video for the single Hellhounds On My Trail from the recently released Blooddrunk CD on Spinefarm/ Fontana records.

As usual I’m back peddling on a band that I recently came to be a fan of in the past few months. Spinefarm and Fontana International re-released 4 older Children Of Bodom CDs this past week and I picked up Hatebreeder. Next I will probably pick up Follow The Reaper. I can see where people say they like older C.O.B. better. I like Hatebreeder. Last night I did a quick review on Children Of Bodom’s Blooddrunk. Perhaps I was a little quick on the trigger, but at the time I wasn’t really impressed. After listening to it through a few times today I’m honestly starting to love it. The solos on Lobotomy are awesome and some of the keyboard solos are pretty impressive throughout the album. So today was the big day I’ve been eagerly waiting for. The release of Children Of Bodom’s Blooddrunk. After Buying Hate crew Deathroll and Are You Dead Yet? I was pretty revved up to hear more and new stuff from Children Of Bodom. Unfortunately everyone was right. Blooddrunk, while still a pretty good CD, it just doesn’t do a lot for me. Disappointing a little.

Children Of Bodom’s Upcoming release April 15th on Spinefarm Records has already gone gold and that’s just in pre-orders.  The Single “Blooddrunk” was a huge hit on the Finnish charts and I think it’s quite obvious that metal is more popular on a mainstream level in the Nordik countries.
You can still get your preorder Blooddrunk here. Which is kind of stupid because the presale says they ship on the 30th?
