Book Of Black Earth are heading out on tour with Cattle Decapitation in support of their 2008 release Horoskopus. Cattle decapitation will be touring in Support of their latest album, The Harvest Floor, which was released this passed Tuesday. I’ll have a review of that coming soon enough. Genre mixing works pretty well these days. In almost any case you can mix two genres of metal and make it sound well. Except for Straight Line Stitch, they screw it up terribly. Mixing some genres are fairly easy. Black Metal and Death Metal fuse together pretty well and Book Of Black Earth give us a a tasty helping of it with their October 14th release, Horoskopus on Prosthetic Records.

Just a few things to close out the week. It’s been a hectic two weeks here but some good things have come about. This week has been a very busy run-around week and I haven’t been able to post  as many good quality posts here. With the server issues finally being ironed out from the beginning of this month to the stupid pop-ups being fixed, this whole month has been kind of crazy. Seattle’s BOOK OF BLACK EARTH has posted a new song, “Funeral of Peace,” from the band’s forthcoming album on the band’s MySpace page. Due out Oct. 14 through Prosthetic Records, ‘Horoskopus’ is BOOK OF BLACK EARTH’s second full-length, and debut for new home Prosthetic Records. Pre-orders have also begun for the album on both vinyl and CD editions here.

In the next day or so I’ll be posting reviews on three upcoming albums from the Prosthetic Record label.
First up will be All That Remains September 16th release, Overcome. I’ve been eager to hear this and I can say that I am very disappointed…that it’s not as long as I wish it was. “That’s what she said.” (I love The Office)
Next up will be Antagonist’s Exist due out September 30th. after that I have Book Of Black Earth’s Horoskopus due out October 14th.
