Update: News Footage Available for Cattle Decapitation Inspired Murders
September 1, 2009 by Eric J
In a shocking turn of events, news footage has been revealed detailing the events that have occurred in a small suburb of San Diego. According to the report, the person or persons responsible buried at least a dozen victims in their backyard to serve as fertilizer for their homegrown organic foods farm. They then sold the vegetables to local businesses and neighbors.
Police who responded found a copy of Cattle Decapitation’s CD The Harvest Floor at the scene, which contains the track “A Body Farm”. Head over to The Gauntlet to view the video!
By the way, Cattle Decapitation are absolute geniuses. …read more

August 31, 2009 by Eric J
Bravewords.com posted this report earlier:
Authorities in San Diego County have confirmed that the remains of several bodies have been unearthed in the backyard garden of a coastal San Diego home on Wednesday.
Authorities found the bodies after an anonymous tip led them to the location.
For much of the day Sunday, neighbors tried to catch a glimpse of what was going on as a number of detectives were digging in what appears to be a vegetable garden of the home, located just off Interstate 5.
Then around 9 PM, they watched as several body bags were rolled out on stretchers from behind the …read more

Withered to Open Blackenedfest
May 1, 2009 by Scott
Blackenedfest with Black Metal legends Mayhem is set to kick off on may 21st to June 15th. Swedish Black Metal veterans Marduk will be there as well along with Death-grinders Cephalic Carnage and Cattle Decapitation. Opening is Prosthetic records blackened death metal prospects Withered.
Withered come out of Atlanta Georgia and they are not an easy band to listen to at first, it’s an acquired taste, but once you get used to their sound, it’s hard not to listen and have a love/hate relationship with their music. Their latest release Folie Circulaire was released June 24th of last year.

Mayhem Cancels Mexico Shows Due To Swine Flu
April 27, 2009 by Scott
Just when you thought a Norwegian Black Metal band would be afraid of nothing, Mayhem have been forced to cancel tour dates due to the outbreak and potential pandemic of swine flu.
All I can say is that the bird flu didn’t stop Watain from butchering pigeons and smearing the blood on themselves for a show.
Word is that they are going to try to reschedule. In the meantime they will still be headlining Blackened Fest with Marduk, Cephalic Carnage and Cattle Decapitation.
Cattle Decapitation Regret And the Grave Video
March 20, 2009 by Scott
Headbangers Blog just premiered the new video from San Diego Death/Grind band Cattle Decapitation. The video for Regret And The Grave was shot in a butcher shop that was offered up by a fan on myspace. You can read all about that at Headbangers Ball as told by Cattle Decap singer Travis Ryan. Good video, I just wish it wasn’t so shaky all the time. It makes it kind of hard on the eyes.

Stream Wrath, Make Your Own Call
February 18, 2009 by Scott
Lamb Of God’s Wrath comes out next week and I posted my thoughts on it on Monday. Solid record, but not my favorite of 2009. I eager to see what God Forbid has to offer, but right now my favorite for the year is Cattle Decapitation: The Harvest Floor. Napalm Death: Time Waits For No Slave was great and I even liked Sepultura’s A-Lex. Cannibal Corpse released a solid death metal album in Evisceration Plague and Scale The Summit’s Carving Desert Canyons is the best instrumental, guitar driven album I have heard in a long time.
Now you can stream the …read more
Cattle Decapitation Discography and The Harvest Floor Review
January 23, 2009 by Scott
In order to review Cattle Decapitation’s latest release, The Harvest Floor, I had to reach back in to the rest of the collection to see where they have come from as a group. The only other album I had at the time of getting The Harvest Floor was Karma.Bloody.Karma. I wanted to see if The Harvest Floor was a progression in their music or if it sounded like all their other albums. After getting a good listen to all they had to offer with the exception of their Ep’s and split, I figured why not do a discography, as …read more
