Even though we saw some great shows and amazing albums in 2008, we’ve also seen our share of craziness. I’ve compiled a list of some crazy things that have happened this year that I can think of off the top of my head.

Byzantine breaks up…3 days after they release Oblivion Beckons.
Light This City break up before releasing the last record.
Arsis changes members more than their underwear.
The Black Dahlia Murder lose a guitarist…steals one from Arsis.
Phil Demmel of Machine Head passes out twice on stage.
DJ Sid from Slipknot breaks both of his feet…keeps on trucking.

In Memory Of Celtic Frost

In 1996 Dwell Records released a tribute album to Celtic Frost titled In Memory Of Celtic Frost. Who knew some years later they would reunite just to disband (Sort of) again this year. The remaining band members say they are still a band, but can we really call them Celtic Frost without Thomas Gabriel Fischer?

Metal Hammer Magazine has announced their Metal Gods Nominees here
Celtic Frost is pretty much done after the departure of Singer/Guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer left the band due to some crazy ass irreconcilable differences, it sounds like a damn divorce litigation.
