No Fear Music Tour With Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, As I Lay Dying, God Forbid And Municipal Waste
January 27, 2009 by Scott
You remember that date that I talked about on this tour. The TBA date? I was right. They’ll be playing in Lamb Of God’s home town of Richmond, VA on 5/14. Here are the dates once again. Here is a bit of press release from Earache Records concerning Municipal Waste’s participation on the tour. Dates again after the fold.
One of the advantages for MUNICIPAL WASTE being on this tour is the chance to really set themselves apart from the other bands on the lineup and turn heads as the lone thrash band on the bill.
“I think we definitely stand out on the bill, but that’s a good thing;” says MUNICIPAL WASTE guitarist, Ryan Waste. “This is a chance for us to spread our style of hardcore thrash to a crowd that’s probably never heard it - get ready for a full speed assault on the ears!”
Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, As I Lay Dying, God Forbid And Municipal Waste Tour

A couple of weeks ago it was, I mentioned a tour with Lamb Of God kicking off in support of their upcoming album Wrath that Metal Hammer had announced but had yet to have any dates. Now we have dates thanks to Metal Injection. I know, that’s a lot of links but give credit where it’s due.The tour includes Children Of Bodom, As I Lay Dying and God Forbid…and now Municipal Waste. This is going to be a great show if it comes your way. I don’t see any dates near me but lets hope the TBD is either NC or VA. That’s a big hop from Albany to Myrtle Beach. Tour dates after the fold.
Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, God Forbid and As I Lay Dying
January 1, 2009 by Scott
Metal Hammer Magazine is reporting that Lamb Of God are gearing up for a U.S. Mega-tour after their headlining gigs on the Defenders Of The Faith 2 tour. Although I haven’t been able to find anything else on this, I would love to see this concert come to life. Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, As I Lay Dying and God Forbid would be an awesome show. Venue’s are going to be sold out and packed to the brim for this one. If anyone has heard anything more about this, please let me know where I can find more info. As soon as I have tour dates I will post them.
Reviewing Reviews Of 2008
December 28, 2008 by Scott
Looking back at some of my reviews of 2008 I can’t help but express how much I hate doing reviews sometimes. Sometimes you get excited for a newly released cd and love it for the first couple listens. Some are great cds with good sound but then later on you read what others stated in their reviews and second guess your own opinion. Some are great at the first listen but don’t hold a lasting effect that a good cd needs in order to make it a truly good release. Some take some time to sink in before you actually really start to enjoy them and some are immediate favorites. Some leave you wanting more in the manner that the entire CD is great and you want to hear more from the band and some leave you wanting more in the manner that there were only a few good songs and the rest fall really short and feel like fillers. Below are some reviews that I look back at and don’t quite feel the same as I did when I reviewed them and some I still hold firm.
Headbanger’s Ball Playlist 9/27
September 27, 2008 by Scott
Some pretty cool videos this week. It’s repetitive as usual but still a couple of older and classic videos in there like 5 Minutes Alone and To Sirius. Could be worse. Avenged Sevenfold could be in there with their new live DVD coming out. Something to not look forward to. Yes that’s really me, but no the hair is not real. I stole it from Nikki Sixx when he wasn’t looking.
- The Human Abstract - Procession Of The Fates
- Hatebreed - Destroy Everything (Live)
- Architects - Always
- The Sword - Fire lances Of The Great Hyperzephyrians
- Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone
- In Flames - Alias
- Children Of Bodom - Smile Pretty For The Devil
- Five Finger Death Punch - Way Of The Fist
- Gojira - To Sirius
- All That Remains - Chiron

Summer Metal Picks Playlist
August 17, 2008 by Scott
With summer in the U.S. drawing to an end The b5Media music channels are putting together their summer play lists. A lot of great music has come out this spring and summer and there is much more to come this year in terms of metal. I’ve got into so many bands this year, it’s hard to pick just a few so I’ll pick an album and my favorite song off of it. I was trying to put together one of those cool play list widgets so you could actually listen to my picks, but some of the songs were not available, so I said screw it. If you’re familiar with the bands and songs below then you know what I mean. If you’re not, give them a listen somehow, somewhere.
