Wisconsin’s Lazarus A.D. recently returned from their first ever trip overseas to Japan’s Loud Park festival in Tokyo. Needless to say, the band had an amazing experience. They were the third band to play on the Big Rock stage on October 18th. The stage was headlined by Slayer and also featured Children Of Bodom, Hatebreed and Papa Roach among others. Lazarus A.D. sampled some foreign cuisine, was surprised by eager fans waiting at their hotel room door to sign autographs and take photos, and played to over 10,000 people. Multiple circle pits tore through the crowd as Jeff Paulick, Dan Gapen, Alex Lackner and Ryan Shutler played their music overseas for the first time.

Lead guitarist Dan Gapen checks in;

“Loud Park was a blast! It was great sharing the stage with all those amazing bands. Not to mention having the chance to play in front of all the great people of Japan was a dream come true! We can’t wait to come back to Japan and get another chance to blow the roof off the mother*#$^er once again…”

SKELETONWITCH

Beyond the Permafrost

SKELETONWITCH have been documenting the making of the album with the posting of webisodes shot during the recording of the album. The band has just posted the fourth studio webisode from the Breathing the Fire sessions with producer Jack Endino. This addition focuses on new bass player, Evan “Loosh” Linger.  It can be seen at prostheticrecords.com.

Drummer, Derrick “Mullet Chad” Nau is contributing a tour blog to Sick Drummer Magazine’s website. His first three contributions can be view at sickdrummermagazine.com.

The band will also be doing an in-store appearance this Sunday, October 11^th at Vacation Vinyl, located at 4679 Hollywood Blvd. The show starts at 5pm and space inside the store in very limited Breathing the Fire vinyl will be available at the show. Los Angeles, CA – September 4, 2009 – Head over to Revolver Magazine to check out the exclusive premier of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s first video from Deflorate for the track Necropolis, which was filmed by Robbie Tassaro (director of the band’s DVD Majesty). Deflorate, the follow up to the band’s 2007 release Nocturnal, will be released on September 15th 2009 (pre-orders still available HERE).
