IGN.Com, a video game site recently published a post on the 10 Best Death Metal Singers and I must say that it is a hell of a list. I couldn’t agree more with it. Take a peak at the list below, but visit the site to get their insight on them, essential albums and a song/video from the band. My 10 picks aren’t much different, but when you put together a list like they did, it’s tough not to pick some of the same ones.

Chris Barnes Talks About Cannibal Corpse Centuries Of Torment DVD

Chris Barnes, former Cannibal Corpse front-man recently talked to Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles Magazine (July Issue) about Cannibal Corpse’ Centuries Of Torment DVD. It was really cool because there wasn’t any trash talk about the current Cannibal Corpse and he said “I was really happy with the way they put it together”. Chris Barnes Vs. George Fisher

The first time I saw Cannibal Corpse was in Baltimore at Hammerjacks back in 1996 I think. This was shorlty after Chris Barnes was replaced by George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher. When I saw them live I had no clue that this had happened. I was just kind of getting into the band and this was before news spread like the clap on the internet. Needless to say when the band started playing something struck me as “Not quite right” This singer didn’t look like Chris Barnes and he sure as hell didn’t sound like him…although he did sound ok.
