Metallica always will be the biggest, most popular band in heavy metal, no matter what they released after …And Justice For All. The fact is that Metallica made a name for themselves in the 80’s that while has been tarnished a bit, is still the biggest and most well known name in metal. They are like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Who. They will always be on top no matter how much you despise what they have done or are doing.

Slipknot are a big name now too. A fan following that rivals most metal bands and top selling albums…but they will NEVER-NEVER out-do, over-take or anything Metallica. It’s the truth. Blabbermouth reported Chris Fehn saying this to the Kansas City Times:

“I think we’re going to overtake METALLICA,” Fehn told KansasCity.com in a recent interview. “We’re going to overtake any band that sells out soccer arenas in Europe. We’re going to do it. We’re the last chance as far as the world goes.”

What? Are you serious dude? He also said that Slipknot have not peaked and have not made their “Black Album” yet. I can agree with that. But I think they did make their “Load” album this year.
