Slayer wins the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. Now it’s got all sorts of people on Blabbermouth arguing who should have won and even people going on to say that Slayer is not metal. One fool, probably the same douche that has been here a few times even went on to ask how Slayer won for “Metal” performance and then said “Death To False Metal“. WTF?

Heavy metal veterans, Slayer will begin work on their next record in 2008. Metal Underground reports:
“Right after the New Year, Slayer plans to start working on new material for their eleventh studio album, intended for a 2008 release, and will tour the world to support it. “I’m excited to see where the new music will go, how it’s going to sound, what the total writing and recording experience will be like. I’m sure it will be like the one for ‘Christ Illusion‘ – great!”

Among all of the other crap that gets nominated for Grammy awards there are always the underlying heavy metal nominees that never get played or even announced. Well here are the metal nominees for best metal performance, not too bad. I think they could have picked some better songs by all the bands though.
