A lot of people say that Metallica died with Cliff Burton and the band was never the same. I don’t think Metallica died with Cliff but I can agree that it wasn’t the same as most people can. There’s no question that Metallica would probably be totally different today had the tragic accident not happened, but what’s done is done and what’s now is now. We can only look back and appreciate his contributions to Metallica and metal.

Every list like this is going to objectionable and subject to criticism from people, but I think it’s rather well put together.
