Metallica is Determined to Make Guitar Hero Wii Suck
Metallica has issued an update regarding the missing Death Magnetic songs from the Wii version of Guitar Hero. I hope Hitler doesn’t hear about this.
Metallica states:
“If you’ve been playing Guitar Hero on the Wii, you may have noticed that we were short a few songs when it came to ‘Death Magnetic’ – well no more! Our friends at Guitar Hero have been working long and hard with Nintendo so that Wii fans can now play the eight ‘Death Magnetic’ songs not previously available for that gaming system.
“Starting November 24, additional tracks from ‘Death Magnetic’ will be available as downloadable singles …read more

Enjoy.
The Evolution Of Metallica’s Logo
March 27, 2009 by Scott
Every band that wants to make an impact on their fans, not only through music but through their album art needs a good logo or mascot. Megadeth has Vic Rattlehead, Iron Maiden has Eddie, The Misfits have The Crimson Ghost and etc. Over the years sometimes these logos and mascots evolve through better artwork and technology. Some bands stay with what works while others make changes to keep it interesting.
Metallica North American Tour Dates and Proshot SXSW Footage
Metallica have announced a bunch of North American tour dates coming up in September through December. Despite the fact that I have talked an enormous amount of shit about these guys since Metal Martyrs inception into the internet, I still may try to catch a show. Metallica performed at last weeks SXSW annual festival. Here is pro-shot footage of them performing their classic “Blackened” from …And Justice For All. Tour dates after the fold.

Again…Whoop-di-friggin-do!
I intended to post a video of this “Best Metal Performance” but Warner Music Group wants money every time you even utter a syllable of a musicians name that they own the rights to.

Metallica Will Get Inducted In To The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame
January 14, 2009 by Scott
Rolling Stone is reporting that Metallica will get their official induction in to The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Along side Metallica, Run DMC will also be inducted. I seriously think they need to change the name to The Music Hall Of Fame, seeing how so many artists that ARE NOT rock are getting inducted every year. Concerning the induction, Lars Ulrich said the following.
“I’m not going to give a whole schpeel about ‘come back in 20 years or something,’ ” says drummer Lars Ulrich. “I’ll fucking take it right now. I’m fucking psyched that anybody still gives …read more
Reviewing Reviews Of 2008
December 28, 2008 by Scott
Looking back at some of my reviews of 2008 I can’t help but express how much I hate doing reviews sometimes. Sometimes you get excited for a newly released cd and love it for the first couple listens. Some are great cds with good sound but then later on you read what others stated in their reviews and second guess your own opinion. Some are great at the first listen but don’t hold a lasting effect that a good cd needs in order to make it a truly good release. Some take some time to sink in before you …read more
Hard Rock/Metal Grammy Nominees
December 4, 2008 by Scott
It’s that time of the year again and the Grammy Nominees for Hard Rock/Metal categories are out and I hope you weren’t expecting anything great. The usual “Big Names” get thrown in the mix just because of their names and history. Nothing groundbreaking here in my opinion.
Best Hard Rock Performance
Inside the fire: Disturbed
Visions: Judas Priest
Wax Simulacra: The Mars Voltra
Saints Of Los Angeles: Motley Crue
Lords Of Salem: Rob Zombie
My pick for this category would be Judas Priest simply for the reason that this is a great song and everything else on this list is bovine excrement.
