The German Metal Hammer website, Metalhammer.de had a vote for the top 111 death metal songs of all time. After their staff did their best to compile the list of 111 songs they let the fans vote for the top 10. When it all comes down to it, it’s all about favorites. The Exhumed To Consume Carcass Reunion Tour isn’t going to make it to every major city. In case you can’t make it, here is a sample of what you will be missing. Everyone says they hate this cd (Because it doesn’t have MIke) but I still dig it! Keep On Rotting In The Free World!

This has been out for some time now. About 4 tears I think. I have never found it in a book store and I’m one of those people that rarely buys books online, but I think I might check it out some time.

In 1996 Dwell Records released a tribute album to Celtic Frost titled In Memory Of Celtic Frost. Who knew some years later they would reunite just to disband (Sort of) again this year. Last night I went to check out local band The Ruin not too far from my house. It started out kind of a strange night but ended up being pretty cool. When I expected to go to Goldsboro, NC to watch them play I really didn’t expect it to be out in the country. But when I map-quested it I had a feeling that that’s where I was headed.

Canada’s Neuraxis will release The Thin Line Between on July 22nd through Prosthetic Records. Prepare yourself the technical brutality at it’s best.
With all the “extreme Metal” bands out there today it’s tough to do reviews. Some are so far out there that  when you first hear them you immediately want to push eject and some have that factor that grabs on to you instantly with something different. Based in Houston’s northside these guys are no strangers to the Texas metal scene.Their sound is deeply rooted in the early days of metal but can also hold its own with todays sounds.The band has recently recorded a new demo to be released and is looking to book extensively.

Perhaps my choice of words to try to explain The Legion Of Hetheriaare a bit wacky, but that’s kinda what it sounds like to me. Renaissance Recordssent me a handful of cd’s yesterday in the mail. This is the one that really caught my ear. The Legion Of Hetheria is a five piece band out of Mexico City, Mexico. You got Ricardo Loera on guitars, clean & tenor vocals, Death metal style vocals, and synths. Then you have Maria Victoria Perez who just has  amazing soprano opera style vocals. Jassir Guarnero on Bass, Jorge Alvarez on guitars and Jesus Loera On drums.
