Today (August 20) marks what would have been Dimebag Darrell’s 43rd birthday. In tribute to Dimebag, I wanted to write a post honoring his life and his contributions to not only metal, but to his friends, family and all of us fans.

When I heard that the dudes from Poison and Def Leppard were having a war of words, I thought to myself…’hopefully there will be some kind of drive-by involved. And then I remembered that shit only happens in hip-hop. Oh well. A man can dream, can’t he?
