Heavy metal juggernauts Dethklok have exploded onto the Billboard Top 200 again with the release of “Dethalbum II ”, selling nearly 45,000 copies in its first week!! This is a Japanese animated series called Detroit Metal City, that Headbanger’s Blog describes as “Dethklok Meets Lost In Translation“, about a musician that moves to Tokyo to become a pop star and instead becomes the frontman for a death metal group called…Detroit Metal City. Gene Simmons has a roll in it as the voice of Jack II Dark…not to be mistaken with The Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggie 2 Dope. This is the first episode that runs almost 14 minutes.

I’ve been kind of wondering about this myself. Headbangers Blog announced that Cartoon Network Adult Swim’s Metalocalype Season 2: Black Fire Upon Us will be released on December 2nd. Now how long will we have to wait for the next Dethklok album? Hopefully not long.

Antimusic.com reported that the long awaited Dethklok action figures are due out July 30th. You can preorder them for a hefty $95 for the five piece set at the link at the bottom. Here is part of the original report from Antimusic.com:
