Today (August 20) marks what would have been Dimebag Darrell’s 43rd birthday. In tribute to Dimebag, I wanted to write a post honoring his life and his contributions to not only metal, but to his friends, family and all of us fans.

Here is a review of last nights Ozzfest In Texas. I honestly don;t know what to make of it because he’s getting a lot of flack from Blabbermouth (Nothing new, right). But sometimes the people that comment over there are right, but Todd Maternowski of Pegasus News also had some great points. Here’s a couple of excerpts and a video. On The 3 year mark of Dimebag Darrell Abbott’s murder, Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, Soilwork And Devildriver played a tribute at their Dallas Stop of the tour.Yeah, I know this is kinda old and the title is ridiculously long but I thought this was worth posting anyway. As if we need another Dimebag tribute. The tributes will slowly fade through the years but his memory we’ll never forget. In the meantime we need to respect the tributes even if we grow tired of them and just want to put this tragedy behind us.
