Speaking Of Twisted Sister
November 26, 2008 by Scott
Here is a cover of Twisted Sister’s Burn In Hell from their Stay Hungry album. The cover is by Black Metal artists Dimmu Borgir. This was actually the first Dimmu Borgir song I ever heard. I saw them in an interview about 4 years ago and ran a search and this song came up. It’s a pretty cool cover/rendition of a classic T.S. tune. Enjoy.

October 28, 2008 by Scott
Nuclear Blast has sent out a message to anyone that has bought the Dimmu Borgir: The Invaluable Darkness DVD in North America and might be having problems with the audio on Disc 2:
We recently discovered that a number of fans that purchased The Invaluable Darkness in North America experienced some audio issues with DVD number 2 during the ‘Wacken 2007’ portion of the disc. While investigating this issue, Nuclear Blast USA discovered that the defect originated from the manufacturing company.
If you purchased The Invaluable Darkness and have not experienced any problems with DVD number 2, please disregard this message. There is no action required on your side.

This Is Killing Me!! Nicholas Cage’s Ex Girlfriend
September 17, 2008 by Scott
Anyone else get a good laugh every time you see news about Dimmu Borgir front man, Shagrath and his bride to be who’s name is apparently “Nicholas Cage’s Ex-Girlfriend”. Seriously, why do they have to refer to her as that. I never knew or cared that this chick was Nicholas Cage’s Ex. Do you think when he introduces her to people he’s like “Bill, I’d like to you to meet Nicholas Cage’s ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton.”. C’mon now. Who really cares who’s ex-girlfriend she is?
They were supposed to get married and had to post pone it for reasons that I could care less about and don’t feel like typing up here. I wonder if they will be married in Holy Matrimony or will it be Unholy Matrimony?
Minister: Do You Stian Tomt Shagrath Thoresen take this woman to be your lawful wedded wife.
Shaggy:(In a most evil voice) I do…
Minister: And do you, Nicholas Cage’s ex-girlfriend take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in corps paint and in flesh, in plague and in famine, till death do you part?
Nichoals Cage’s Ex-girlfriend: I’m sorry, What???

Iron Maiden Strappin’ On Their Football Boots
July 22, 2008 by Scott
“No, they’re playing soccer, stupid!” That’s a statement I’m expecting from the first douche that doesn’t think about the fact that they call it football everywhere else but the U.S. (And maybe Canada, I don’t know).
Iron Maiden is set to compete in a soccer match with some Norwegian rockers and few former professional soccer players. Don’t be surprised if Maiden get’s their arses kicked like they did the last time they played (8-1). They will be playing before their performance in Oslo on Thursday the 24th of July…me Mum’s birthday. Below is the list of the blokes from Norway that will be playing.
Diesel Dahl (TNT)
Simen Hestnaes (DIMMU BORGIR)
Hank von Helvete (TURBONEGRO)
Dan Raaden Hoque (BACKSTREET GIRLS)
Ole Jørgen Moe (CADAVER)
Kenneth Nilsen (WAKLEVÖREN)
Sverre Dæhlie (AUDIOPAIN)
Christer Krogh (GRAND CAFE)

Blackest Of The Black Tour Rides Once More
May 28, 2008 by Scott
Glenn Danzig’s Blackest Of The Black tour will be this October and November and will feature Danzig headlining, of course along with Dimmu Borgir, Winds Of Plague, Moonspell and Skeletonwitch. Pretty cool line up if you ask me. Tour dates have yet to be announced. You can learn more at the link below and I’ll be trying to keep things updated as time passes.
The mastermind of the Blackest Of The Black tour, Glenn Danzig was quoted as follows.
“It will be nice to get back to many of these cities that I have not been to in some time and do the live show for all the people who’ve followed my music all these years. I’m also very happy to have DIMMU BORGIR sharing the stage this time as they are one of my favorite bands and always wanted them on Blackest of The Black. Should be an incredible 20th anniversary tour.”

CHROME DIVISION - BOOZE, BROADS AND BEELZEBUB
May 17, 2008 by Scott
Repost From Nuclear Blast Newsletter:
CHROME DIVISION, the Norwegian five-piece featuring DIMMU BORGIR frontman Shagrath (a.k.a. Stian Thoresen) on guitar, will release its second album, Booze, Broads And Beelzebub, later this year (exact release dates tba) via Nuclear Blast Records!
The follow-up to 2006’s Doomsday Rock ‘n’ Roll, Booze, Broads and Beelzebub was recorded at Studio Fredman in Sweden during January 2008 and contains a dozen or so tracks, including a cover of a classic ZZ TOP tune.
The material is described by the band as “a bit more varied than on ‘Doomsday Rock ‘n Roll’. A bit more metal, more fast stuff, but still the basics in filthy rock ‘n’ roll.”
