Divine Heresy Bleed The Fifth Video
After re-recording the vocals for Bleed The Fifth with new frontman Travis Neal, Divine Heresy now unveils their second video from their debut album and also the video name, Bleed The Fifth. I think Dino made a great choice with Travis Neal.
Metal Drama: Dino Cazares Assaulted By Tommy Vext At L.A. Mayhem Fest Show
July 17, 2008 by Scott
You know whenever a person get’s fired from a band there is always going to be some kind of drama afterwards. Tommy Vext being fired from Divine Heresy is no exception. I honestly don’t know who’s side I would take here if I had to. In the post published by Headbangers Blog, both give pretty good accounts of what happened at the L.A. stop of Mayhem Fest. Although I’m not 100% sure that Tommy Cummings story is legit. Dino Cazares doesn’t seem like a violent person to me, while Tommy is a big intimidating looking dude. Younger and a lot …read more
Tyranny And Bloodshred Tour, Raleigh NC 6/10/08
June 11, 2008 by Scott
Century Media’s Tyranny and Bloodshred tour was in town yesterday. Minus Arch Enemy, they finished up a few days before. Dark Tranquility was headlining with Divine Heresy, Firewind and Soldiers Of Scrape before them. I took some pictures with my phone because I didn’t feel like carrying my camera around with me so the pics are kind of crappy. Next time they’ll be much better (new camera).
Soldiers of Scrape were awesome, I’ll say more about them more in a bit.
Firewind were phenomenal performers. The guitars solos were shredding, the keyboards sounded cool and Apollo obviously can sing his ass …read more

I went to an awesome show last night, which I will elaborate more on a little later. Anyway Divine Heresy was there and Dino Cazareswas real cool about autographing cd’s at the merch booth before and after their set, so I had him autograph a brand new Bleed The Fifth cd to give away. If I choose yours as the winner you will win this cool prize.
So what’s your funny/crazy/sick Mosh Pit story? …read more
Divine Heresy New Touring Singer Footage
May 11, 2008 by Scott
With the booting of Tommy Vex, Divine Heresy were left in a kind of tough predicament due to booking on the Tyranny and Bloodshred Tour. Divine Heresy have temporarily recruited ex- Periphery singer Jake Veredika as their current touring vocals. Check out footage below, it’s fan filmed (DeaDlyCorpsE528) so it’s really rough and hard to judge the singers capabilities.
Divine Heresy Auditioning For New Singer
May 5, 2008 by Scott
As you may already know Tommy Vex (Cummings) and the rest of Divine Heresy (or maybe just Dino) had a falling out and Tommy is no longer in the band. So now they have less than a week to find a new singer to head out on the previously mentioned Tyranny And Bloodshred Tour. Century Media posted an excerpt from a recent Headbangers Blog interview with Dino Cazares. Goes as follows:
“Even if we have to go as a three-piece we’ll be there because Joe sings as well,” Cazares said. “Sometimes it’s a bit difficult for him to do both. …read more
Metal Shavings 4/9
Off to a late start tonight. Here is some significant metal news of the day. I’m linking to News from Blabbermouth.net for the most part.
It looks like Down will be joining Metallica and The Sword on the
European Tour this summer
Metal Hammer Magazine has announced their Metal Gods Nominees here
Celtic Frost is pretty much done after the departure of Singer/Guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer left the band due to some crazy ass irreconcilable differences, it sounds like a damn divorce litigation.
Dethklok and Chimaira will be doing summer tour. Rumor has it that Chimaira will be opening for Dethklok so sorry, you’ll …read more
Divine Heresy: Bleed The Fifth
September 2, 2007 by Scott
Realeased this past week, this bands kicks ass in my opinion. Its a good mix. Sounds kinda Fear Factory/ nwoahm. Dino Cazares does a great job on guitars and has evolved, if you will, to metal of today. A lot of people are saying that its repetitive, but thats how metal seems to be these days. The only thing I get tired of is the over-use of the double bass. The vocals are heavy and simmer down during some songs, especially on the last song, Closure which is my personal favorite at the moment. I’ve included the first video, …read more
Metal Shavings 8/29
August 29, 2007 by Scott
Welcome to the last Metal Shavings for August. It’s been a busy and hectic month for me and I hope everyone had a great summer as we start to roll out the fall welcome mat. Lets get to the news:
Glenn Danzig will be heading out to do some U.S. shows this fall and has just wrapped up production on the debut recording of Misfits Guitarist Doyle’s band Gorgeous Frankenstein. Not sure what to make of these guys yet. Glenn does not have any planes of rejoining his former misfits counterparts and has just recently released The Lost Tracks Of Danzig.
