The other day I was on MySpace and sent T-Roy (Troy Medlin), the frontman for Southern Sludge Metal madmen Sourvein a rewuest for an interview. CD Review: Hail!Hornet

Hail!Hornet are a newer band, but the members are not new to the game. Featuring members of Alabama Thunderpussy, Weedeater, Sourvien and Beaten Back To Pure. Hailing from the south, Hail!Hornet are a four piece band raining down sludge metal at its best…kind of. As if we needed another genre, they have self proclaimed their sound Grime-Metal. This about explains everything. Nothing clean cut about this recording. Everything is raw and in your face. Simple riff and simple beats. Don’t get me wrong, simple is good.
Fight Pretty: Rewiring the Human Body

Imagine if you will old school hardcore brought back to life. Black Flag, Minor Threat and Bad Religion have a baby. That baby’s name would be Fight Pretty. There is nothing pretty about this though. Punk you say? Hell no, that term is thrown around much too loosely these days.
