So after the reunion started in Europe, Earache, the record label for Carcass thought it would be a great idea to re-release all of Carcass’s records with dual discs and DVDs. I’m glad they did. It started earlier this year with Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious back in may and will be complete with the special edition Symphonies Of Sickness that was just released in Europe and will come to North American stores soon after. I don’t know how I missed this but EARACHE records re-released Carcass Heartwork Limited Edition CD/DVD back in june with a dvd and the complete album in demo form. It’s a pretty cool fold out setup. There is no sleeve, but the gatefold of the case actually has the lyrics on it. I haven’t had a chance to watch the DVD yet but the DVD content says:

I first heard the song “Wolverine Blues” on Headbangers ball back in late ‘93 and was instantly a fan. A week or two later co-worker had given me some money to pick up a few CD’s. The next day I went to a small local record stare and was picking up the CD’s for him and saw Wolverine Blues in the newer releases and only picked up one of the CD’s he wanted and ended up spending the rest of his money on this CD and Carcass’s “Heartwork”.
