This is a Japanese animated series called Detroit Metal City, that Headbanger’s Blog describes as “Dethklok Meets Lost In Translation“, about a musician that moves to Tokyo to become a pop star and instead becomes the frontman for a death metal group called…Detroit Metal City. Gene Simmons has a roll in it as the voice of Jack II Dark…not to be mistaken with The Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggie 2 Dope. This is the first episode that runs almost 14 minutes.

OK, this ha$ got to be the $tupide$t thing I have ever heard…now we can officially call Ki$$ a manufactured band like a boy band or a brand name. Read one from blabbermouth:
During a familiar rant by Simmons about how KISS could go on forever, Roy Hilmar Svendsen of Norway’s NRK asked jokingly if the band would consider looking for replacements for Simmons and Stanley in a TV show, similar to programs like “Rock Star” and “American Idol“.
“The answer is yes. The deal has just been signed,” Simmons replied. “It’s coming soon.”

Gene Simmons and a group of young ladies arrived in a limo at a San Diego 7-Eleven yesterday to promote Frank’s Energy Drink.

According to Blabbermouth.net Gene Simmons has made a statement about the alleged sex tape. Here is a few short excerpts.
Photos on the site promoting the sex video show the couple going at it in several positions, with Simmons keeping his shirt on (and his pants around his ankles) and the woman wearing lingerie.
In a message posted on his web site, Simmons writes, “Hi everyone. You may have heard or seen garbage that has sprung up from my past. Rest assured the proper legal team is looking at all ramifications and options.

Roberta over at Earsucker posted a story about Gene Simmons stating that the internet and illegal downloading has killed music. Perhaps it’s killing the music industry and record labels can’t make the money they used to by milking the bands for every cent they are worth then hanging them out to dry when they find the next big thing. Sorry “big label” boys, Those days are over. He goes on to say that there will never be another band like Kiss or The Beatles.

Well Gene, you were doing so well and then your mouth and ego got way ahead of you. Even though Gene had a great concept with his Celebrity Apprentice presentation his team lost. For real. It seems every time you turn around, Gene Simmons is pimping himself out for something or another. First A&E and to Donald Trump.
