As most of you know, since I started writing for this blog I have expanded the range of metal that I listen to. I try to open my mind and see what else is out there constantly. Sometimes It takes me a few times listening to a specific sub-genre or band for me to get into them. Two bands that I tried to get into before but just couldn’t because I was deep into something else at the time are Children Of Bodom and Dimmu Borgir.

According to The Sword’s Myspace, they will be playing Bannaroo this year. Looks to be a pretty impressive line up for music lovers of any genre. The last I heard the Sword was in the studio working on their next album. The Sword were a rather small unknown band until their success with their hit Freya on Guitar Hero 2.

I don’t listen to this song as much as I did when I first heard it, but I was listening to my iPod shuffle and it came on and I got all into it again. Soon after my son was playing Guitar Hero 2 and I just had to get on there with him and play this song. So I’m sitting here trying to think of something to post because the biggest news right now is that Sammy Hagar is a rich sum’bitch…yeah, like we didn’t know.
