Metallica is Determined to Make Guitar Hero Wii Suck

Metallica has issued an update regarding the missing Death Magnetic songs from the Wii version of Guitar Hero. I hope Hitler doesn’t hear about this.
Metallica states:
“If you’ve been playing Guitar Hero on the Wii, you may have noticed that we were short a few songs when it came to ‘Death Magnetic’ – well no more! Our friends at Guitar Hero have been working long and hard with Nintendo so that Wii fans can now play the eight ‘Death Magnetic’ songs not previously available for that gaming system.
“Starting November 24, additional tracks from ‘Death Magnetic’ will be available as downloadable singles …read more

Headbang Hero. So Stupid It’s Actually Funny

Headbang Hero. So Stupid It’s Actually Funny

For those that don’t want to play guitar and also have no desire to pretend to play guitar but still want to rock out on a video game to metal music, then Headbang Hero just might be what you’re looking for. The only complaint I have is they use Survivor’s Eye Of The Tiger in this demo. Slightly head-bangable at first but not a metal song and not something I would get caught headbanging to.
Of course with stupid articles saying that headbanging causes neck and brain damage, this “toy” would probably not get approved for sale for safety reasons. …read more

Warbeast Full Size Replica For Guitar Hero

Warbeast Full Size Replica For Guitar Hero

I’m trying to not go overboard with reporting too much about Guitar Hero, but this was too cool not to post. This has actually been out for a few months now. A B.C. Rich authorized Warbeast full size replica for use on Guitar Hero and Rock Band. B.C. Rich always has some of the coolest (or ugliest, depending on your taste) guitars on the market. The most “Metal” looking guitars anyway. The B.C. Rich Warlock is a classic metal guitar and The Beast is probably the most “Br00tal” looking guitar. Both very uncomfortable to play in my opinion and …read more

Guitar Hero: Metallica Complete Set List

Guitar Hero: Metallica Complete Set List

Via Metallica.com, here is the complete set list for Guitar Hero: Metallica. I think they did a pretty good job putting together the set-list for the Metallica songs. Minimal St. Anger and Death Magnetic tracks make it well worth while. Most of it is Black Album and prior. Some of the other band songs are songs that they have covered, so that’s cool too. Guitar Hero: Metallica drops on March 29th. Check it out.
Metallica Tracks

All Nightmare Long
Battery
Creeping Death
Disposable Heroes
Dyers Eve
Enter Sandman
Fade To Black
Fight Fire With Fire
For Whom The Bell Tolls

Preorder Guitar Hero Metallica, Get A Free Foot Pedal.

Preorder Guitar Hero Metallica, Get A Free Foot Pedal.

Gamestop is offering a free “bonus” foot pedal if you pre-order Guitar Hero: Metallica, which is set for a U.S. release on March 29th. The reason for the pedal? You get to play double bass on GH: Metallica. You also get a splitter so you can plug both pedals in to the drum kit.
I can honestly say that I’m looking forward to this, seeing that Guitar Hero: World Tour really sucks without being able to download new songs for it. World Tour was a real let down for me because the song selection really sucks. The new features are …read more

Slayer Content On Upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica

Slayer Content On Upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica

Apparently there will be some Slayer content on Guitar Hero: Metallica. I thought it was pretty cool on Guitar Hero 3 with Reign In Blood. For the haters of Guitar Hero, I say try it out. It’s a fun way to be a part of some of your favorite songs and might actually get you in to some other bands you haven’t heard of. My son loves it and we recently got Guitar Hero: World Tour for Christmas. I said before that it’s a great way for them to learn rhythm and timing and new music. World tour lacks in …read more

Learn To Play Guitar Hero Songs…For Real

Learn To Play Guitar Hero Songs…For Real

I just bought my son and Xbox 360 and Guitar Hero World Tour the other day for Christmas. It sits hidden in the closet while I try to restrain myself from pulling it out, putting it together and giving it a try while he’s at school. The best thing about the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games besides the fact that they are a blast to play  is that they get kids interested in music and bands of the past and present. Sometimes it even gets them interested in learning a real instrument.

The Sword: How Heavy This Axe Video

The Sword: How Heavy This Axe Video

Since discovering these guys through Guitar Hero, as so many others did, I’ve really come to dig The Sword. Freya was only a glimpse at the talent that this band possess. Although not as many songs on Age Of Winters are as memorable as Freya or some of the songs on Gods Of The Earth, they still rock it out in an old-school fashion and absolutely kill it live. Check out the video below for How Heavy This Axe from Gods Of The Earth and if you ever have a chance to see them live, do it. Close your eyes …read more

Guitar Hero: Metallica Trailer?

Guitar Hero: Metallica Trailer?

Next in line for the Guitar Hero band line is Metallica…so it’s rumored anyway. Guitar Hero: World Tour will feature the possibility for you to download 10 songs from Death Magnetic to play along with. Seriously, I hope they shortened the songs for the gae because you’d think people would get tired from or get tired of playing those long-ass songs. Below is a 26 second trailer for Guitar Hero Metallica that is supposedly on Guitar Hero: World Tour. It’s kind of a crappy recording but it shows enough. No confirmations yet from Metallica though I think it’s quite obvious …read more

Peace Sells…Will Be Available For Rock Band 2

Peace Sells…Will Be Available For Rock Band 2

Megadeth’s Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying? will be available for full album download for Rock Band 2 as well as the title track already being on the disk. I don’t own Rock Band and I rarely play Guitar Hero anymore, but I think this is pretty cool. I would love to play Black Friday, Devils Island, Wake Up Dead, and the obvious Peace Sells…
This news came from Metal Injection.com who also reported that a couple of other full album downloads will available for Rock Band 2, which was set for a September release last time I heard. Check what other …read more
