This time of year there is never a surplus of time for anyone. Besides the snail speed flow of report worthy metal news this week, time just hasn’t been on my side. To keep things short, here are some significant things that went on the Metal since Friday.
Machine Head’s Phil Demmel collapsed on stage again on Friday. This is the third time it’s happened and the second time it’s happened this year. Machine head has canceled the last tow shows on this leg of their tour and will be heading back top the states. Phil suffers from a rare …read more
Today’s Metal Releases 10/14
A lot of good stuff hits the stores today. New Eps, Albums and DVD’s. I also have a few things to run in review coming out later, like Mushroomhead’s Vol.2, which is really cool if your in to Mushroomhead and Vision Of Disorder’s Dead In New York live DVD of their very last show in 2002.

Stream Haste The Day’s Entire New Album
Indiana’s Christian Metalcore Haste The Day have made their entire new album "Dreamer" available for streaming through Fuse.TV’s The Worm. Dreamer is due out next Tuesday (Oct. 14th) on Solid State Records.

Haste The Day Says To Hell With Guitarist Jason Barnes

Word has it that Christian Metalcore outfit Haste The Day have ousted their guitarist Jason Barnes because he claims to has lost his faith. I guess if you’re a Christian band member you had better believe in the almighty or it’s exile for you. The following are excerpts from a statement from the band at Antimusic.com:

Haste The Day…Not Quite Sure What To Think.

A friend of mine told me to check out Haste The Day a while back. So I bought Pressure The Hinges about a month ago and have listened to it about two or three times. I’m not quite sure what to think of them just yet. Anyone else hear or listen to this band? And if so what do you make of them?

I have dumped a bunch of money into CDs this past year, probably more than I have in a long time. I have discovered and re-discovered bands that I’ve been missing out on and was even introduced to new music by record labels that sent me CDs to review (Thanks Bob at Prosthetic and Taylor at Dwell). While most of these albums didn’t come out in 2007, 2007 was the year I bought them and therefore; the first list will be my Favorite Buys Of 2007. The second list is a short one.
