I’m probably going to catch some shit for this review but to be totally honest, I really don’t care. Here is a quick, half-assed review of The Devil You Know.
I picked up the new Heaven And Hell album today and I almost fell asleep on the ride home while listening to it. I was waiting for that one track to jolt me, to kick me in the pants but it never came. I know Black Sabbath and Dio fans alike are probably jizzing all over this thing, but it just sounds very tired to me.

Heaven And Hell Bible Black Video. There’s nothing like geriatric, veteran metal musicians showing that they still have what it takes to hold true to their sound and still manage to be relevant in today’s metal! The song, on one hand is great, but the video leaves quite a bit to be desired.
 

Heaven And Hell’s debut album, The Devil You Know can be streamed in it’s entirety from VH1.com’s The Leak.

The Best Buy version will have the Exclusive DVD of the behind the scenes making-of The Devil You Know, while Walmart will offer an exclusive alternate cover that can be seen at Black-sabbath.com. Lastly iTunes will offer two unreleased live tracks from their 2007 European Tour with the digital purchase.

Heaven And Hell’s Upcoming release The Devil You Know, being released on April 28th will include a Special Edition DVD, exclusively through Best Buy. Best Buy’s website says that in addition to the 10 tracks you will get a DVD with “22 minutes of studio performances, interviews about making the new album, and other behind-the-scenes content”.

Heaven And Hell have announced the title of their newly recorded album as “The Devil You Know” and have set a release date for April 28th via Rhino Records. According to Billboard.com, some of the song titles include: “Rock & Roll Angel”, “Bible Black”, “Atom & Evil”, “Eating the Cannibals.” and “Breaking Into Heaven”.

Tony Iommi recently issued an update concerning progress on the recording of the new Heaven And Hell Album:

Heaven And Hell, pretty much the Ronnie James Dio version of Black Sabbath , have entered the recording studio and the new release is expected out in the early part of 2009. They will also be touring in support of the new album and  tour dates have been scheduled so far for Hellfest and Swedish Rock Festival. Iommi told Billboard.com the reason they are touring under the name Heaven and hell instead of Black Sabbath in this statement:

For al the Heaven And Hell fans, you’ll be glad to know that Ronnie James Dio and crew are laying down the tracks for the new album. According to Billboard.com, they have ‘6 or 7′ new songs new songs for the record.
“We’ve got about six or seven new songs,” Iommi reports, “and then we stopped to do this (The Metal Masters) tour. When we finish that, we’ll take a couple of weeks off, then carry on writing.”
