As some of you may know, John Schaffer has brought back Matt Barlow to Iced Earth, stating that Iced Earth is truly back. With Matt Barlow coming back, Ripper Owens is out. Owens says that he found out just minutes after the announcement was made on Blabbermouth that he was being replaced. He said it was a sudden blow to him, but he understood.

Iced earth has posted the song Framing Armageddon at their Myspace page. Framing Armageddon is from their new album Framing Armageddon-Something Wicked Part 1, the follow up to 2004’s The Glorious Burden.
In other Iced Earth news, they just kicked off their European Tour on October 8th with opening act ANNIHILATOR. Below are the Dates for October. There is also a 33 minute interview with Jon Schaffer on their website.
