I’m not totally sure I would want to run out and buy the new Queensryche. Never been a huge fan of them anyway and the new video doesn’t do anything to help sell me the new album. I do appreciate their intent on the album concept, even though it seems that so many bands are jumping on the “Support the troops” wagon. I really hope that their intent and concern is genuine and not just a gimmick or marketing ploy.

Bleeding Through Tour With Acacia Strain

Bleeding Through are heading out on tour in support of Declaration. They’ll be touring with The Acacia Strain, As Blood Runs Black and Impending Doom. The tour is sponsored by Revolver Magazine and Zambooie and will be Bleeding Through first headlining tour in three years. If you click on the tour poster it will open in another window and you will see where it says “Visit Bleedingthrough.com for tour dates”. I saved you the trouble and posted the dates after the fold. What aggravates me about visiting some label and band official websites is that you have to click through 2 or 3 different index pages advertising either the bands new cd or a tour flyer. It’s not really that big of a deal but I feel it’s totally unnecessary for bands and labels to do that. You can also visit Zambooie.com and learn how you can enter for a chance to be a Roadie for a day for Bleeding Through.

Unearth To Headline The Fk School, Fk Work, Let’s Rage Tour

On January 9th Unearth will head out on a headlining tour in support of The March, an album in my ipod that doesn’t get nearly as much play as it should. They’ll be heading out with Emmure, Impending Doom and Born Of Osiris.

After their headlining tour they will head out as support on the Defenders Of The Faith Tour with Lamb Of God and Dimmu Borgir in the UK. Following that tour up with a trip to Australia for the Australian Soundwave Festival. and then to Japan for a few shows with Lamb Of God and In Flames. Tour dates after the fold.

Headbanger’s Ball Playlist 8/9

Last week I kind of slacked due to the fact that I was on vacation with my family and it really wasn’t on my mind. Here is this weeks HBB play list. Not the greatest list. The Hatebreed video will be on the upcoming live DVD, The gates Of Slumber video is kind of a cool, sledge, doom song (Kind of reminds me of Devon Townsend) and the Dragonforce song is from their upcoming Ultra-beat off cd. The Straight Line Stitch video is better than the last one but I still don’t like this band. I have always loved the Korn ‘Blind’ video, I don;t care what anyone says about nu-metal and to be totally honest I’m kind of growing tired of Meshuggah. I won’t be watching tonight, so someone let me know how the Impending Doom video is. Lastly, I think it’s about time they take this HTML Rulez Dood video out of rotation, right? Put WhiteChapel’s This Is Exile and Kataklysm’s Taking The World By Storm back in there. Keep a look out for a new All That Remains Video in the works in the next coming month from the new album Overcome. Play list after the fold.

THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD to take part in Bang Your Head ‘Til We Raise The Dead Tour

South Carolinian death metal quintet THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have been confirmed as direct support to Whitechapel for the upcoming Bang Your Head ‘Til We Raise The Dead Tour, which is scheduled to start August 28 through the end of September, and will also feature Impending Doom, A Different Breed of Killer, and, on a handful of dates, Molotov Solution. The month of dates marks the band’s first time back out on the road since earlier this spring on a string of dates that included a stop at this year’s tenth annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.

“We’re very excited to be an addition to the ‘BANG YOUR HEAD ‘TIL WE RAISE THE DEAD’ tour,” guitarist Justin Longshore says. “After wrapping things up on the tour with Animosity in April, we’ve been home this summer for a much needed rest and writing tons of new riffs and ideas for our next record. Everything is coming along really well and we are pumped to finally be back out on the road again. Make sure you do not miss out on this tour!”

THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD continues to support its latest effort, ‘Malice,’ which saw an August 2007 release through Prosthetic Records. Featuring artwork by Paul Romano (The Red Chord, Mastodon, Trivium), ‘Malice’ is the band’s second full-length and was recorded with Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse), which has led to the live shows across North America both headlining and alongside the likes of As I Lay Dying, The Red Chord, As Blood Runs Black, Animosity, labelmates Beneath The Massacre and All That Remains and more.
