In Flames guitarist Jesper Stromblad will be stepping away from the tour to take some time in rehab for Alcohol abuse. Alcohol is nothing new in the music world. Some can control there consumption, while others spiral way out of control. It’s starts to effect their health, the band and their family. It’s good to see that he wants to better himself.
Jesper will be replaced by long time friend of In Flames, Niclas Engelin while they tour South America, Australia and Japan.

In Flames took home more awards for last years A Sense Of Purpose. They recently took home three awards at The Bandit Rock Awards. After recenttly reading an article over at Strait Jacket Union, I decided that I needed to expand my In Flames collection and there is still something I don’t understand. Mikael Akerfeldt seems like a pretty down to earth and collected dude. I suppose to make the music that Opeth does, you have to have an immense amount of patience. I like In Flames Sense Of Purpose, but it didn’t have the effect that Opeth’s Watershed did on me. Up until about a year ago I was mainly in to American and British heavy metal. All That Remains had to cancel the remainder of their tour dates with In Flames, Gojira and 36 Crazyfist due to Phil Labonte having some throat issues. No bands like to cancel shows and there is no sense in trying to continue if the front man is going to sound like garbage and hurt himself more by trying. All That Remains posted a bulletin yesterday on their Myspace announcing that they will have to cancel two of shows on their tour with In Flames, Gojira and 36 Crazyfists. One of those shows was last nights show in Tempe Arizona and the other date is tonight’s show in Albuquerque New Mexico. This is what was posted on myspace:
