Metallica’s Unreleased Tracks from the Presidio Now Online

MetallicaUnreleased has offered up some unreleased samples of tracks that were recorded by Metallica in 2001 at the Presidio in San Francisco, Ca. The quality on a few of them is craptacular, but it gives you a good idea of the direction Metallica was headed before (frontman) Hetfield’s side project (going to rehab) took over. Head over there to check them out, and tell me what you think in the comments!

Metalli-Deth Drama

Metalli-Deth Drama

These days we all know that Dave Mustaine can be an ass. That’s just his nature and that’s the Dave Mustaine we’ve come to love and respect. However we also know that James Hetfield is catching up, with his recent Dave Mustaine mocking where he made fun of the way Dave sings on Symphony Of Destruction. As if James Hetfield has any ground to stand on when it comes to making fun of someone else’s vocals.
Through out the years you can’t really see too much of a change in the singing style of Dave Mustaine, but we’ve seen Hetfield …read more

Some Kind Of Dog Crap! Why Do I Punish Myself With This Garbage?

Some Kind Of Dog Crap! Why Do I Punish Myself With This Garbage?

I know I said awhile back that I wasn’t going to talk sh*t about Metallica until the new record came out, but once again I was flipping through the channels and what was on VH1 Classics but “Some Kind Of Monster“.
Every time this is on I get pissed off. I get tired of hearing Lars and James argue like a couple of school girls. I get tired of hearing James try to sing Seek And Destroy like a female porn star faking an orgasm. What is it going to take to regain my faith in a band I once …read more

Lars Ulrich interview Excerpt From Metal Hammer Magazine

The latest issue of UK’s kick-ass Metal Hammer Magazine conducted an interview with Metallica drummer, Lars Ulrich and Blabbermouth.net was kind enough to post some excerpts from it. Thanks Blabbermouth! Below are the excerpts. I have no comments on this one. The interview speaks for itself. Enjoy!
Metal Hammer: You’ve already recorded the drum, guitar and bass tracks for the new album, with the rest to be added some time in August.

Why The Media Twists The Words Of Celebreties.

As we all know the media is famous for twisting the words of celebrities to start conflict between celebrities and create drama for viewers pleasure. Well I just came across an article on Blabbermouth.com, which I’m not even going to link this time because they are guilty of it this time.

Metallica, hate to love, love to hate…

Metallica, hate to love, love to hate…

Some people are asking, “Why do you show such undying hatred towards Metallica, yet post so much news and interviews of them?” Well the answer is quite simple. I don’t hate Metallica, I never have. What I hate is the garbage they have put out in the last 11 years. The only thing I have liked that they have released since the Black album (and the bBlack album isn’t that high on my list of Metallica’s great achievements) is Garage Inc.
