Metal fans are hateful critics, everyone of us. The review for Light From Above on Interscope Records on Blabbermouth.net was a mediocre review and then came the comments. Everyone was bashing the band with the exception of a few people. I bought it yesterday and for a cheap $9.99 ate FYE. Forget what you see about people saying they are over-hyped, oversold and over rated. Judge them for yourself. If your into old thrash, G N’ R, Motley Crue type stuff you will probably like it. Light From Above, Black Tide’s debut recording release will be out on Tuesday 3/18. By request from Total Assault (Black Tide’s PR) that will also be the date I post my brief video interview with Black Tide. There is so many great bands releasing new albums this year it’s amazing. Just to name a few, you have young talented thrashers, Black Tide to release their Debut album Light From Above that I think will surprise a lot of people and blow them away. You have All That Remains that will be releasing their follow up to The Fall Of Ideals this summer, you have Children Of Bodom’s Blooddrunk and supposedly in September we will see the new Metallica record.

Black Tide have just announced that they will be performing at Hot Topic’s annual South by Southwest bash on March 14th at La Zona Rosa in Austin. The SXSW party will also feature live sets from UK sensations Enter Shikari and Texas natives Flyleaf. Headlining the event will be System of a Down frontman, Serj Tankian!
Black Tide are gearing up for the release of Light From Above, their Johnny K (Machine Head) produced debut album which comes out on March 18th.
