So many bands tour the world over and rarely get outside of the tour bus. They drink themselves into an oblivion and rarely get out and see the world around them. Anyone that talks trash about Trivium has obviously never been to see them live. Saturday night was a great show. The Human Abstract opened up the show. I wasn’t in to them but they put on a good show as did 36 Crazyfists. I have to give it up for the headliners, Trivium and All That Remains. The last night of the co-headlining tour was Sunday in Charlotte NC. Trivium…I Don’t Hate Them

I bought Triviums new release Shogun yesterday and I’ve been listening to it on and off. With Shogun, Matt Heafy reaches back to Ascendancy with some of the vocals. I said before that I didn’t care for Ascendancy as much as I like The Crusade, but listening to Shogun and the older style Heafy screams, I had to check out Ascendancy again.
Trivium Finish Recording New Album

Trivium said in a Myspace Bulletin, that they have finished up recording for their new upcoming record.
“We’ve completed the new album and the music has been delivered to Roadrunner Records and is in the process of being mixed. We’re expecting a late September 2008 release. Needless to say we are proud of what we have created and look forward to your reactions when you have a chance to listen to and digest the new music.”
They have also updated Triviumworld.com with photos from the past weekends show with Iron Maiden.

Trivium have posted the following bulletin on Myspace about the upcoming new record:
“For the first time, we can’t look at our songs and say who the riffs sound like,” guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy told Revolver magazine about the group’s new material. “We’re really making our own stuff and our own kind of music and art form, and that’s exciting.”

According to Blabbermouth.net, Trivium have announce who will be producing their next record during their NAMM appearance. Here is a short excerpt quote of the Blabbermouth post:

In the latest Revolver Magazine, Trivium’s Matt Heavy And Corey Beauliu (How the hell is this dudes name pronounced) give revolver some insight on the year to come. Matt Brings up the point that people either love them or hate them, stating:
