The Straight Line Stitch video is better than the last one but I still don’t like this band. I have always loved the Korn ‘Blind’ video, I don;t care what anyone says about nu-metal and to be totally honest I’m kind of growing tired of Meshuggah. I won’t be watching tonight, so someone let me know how the Impending Doom video is. Lastly, I think it’s about time they take this HTML Rulez Dood video out of rotation, right? Put WhiteChapel’s This Is Exile and Kataklysm’s Taking The World By Storm back in there. Keep a look out for a new All That Remains Video in the works in the next coming month from the new album Overcome. Play list after the fold.

It’s here, and it doesn’t disappoint! After releasing a teaser trailer last week, the Swedish calculatorcore masterminds in Meshuggah have unveiled the video for “Bleed” — in all of its gory, uber-frightening glory. As previously reported, the clip was produced by Ian McFarland and Killswitch Productions. Directed, written and edited by McFarland and Mike Pecci, “Bleed” boasts a fittingly-cinematic horror flick tone, and some genuine scares – seriously, have you looked at that picture up there?

After releasing a teaser trailer last week, the Swedish calculatorcore masterminds in Meshuggah have unveiled the video for “Bleed” — in all of its gory, uber-frightening glory. As previously reported, the clip was produced by Ian McFarland and Killswitch Productions. Directed, written and edited by McFarland and Mike Pecci, “Bleed” boasts a fittingly-cinematic horror flick tone, and some genuine scares – seriously, have you looked at that picture up there?

What the directors had to say about the video:

“Working with Meshuggah was truly an honor for us. It’s extremely cool to work with a band who is willing to allow the music and imagery to speak for itself and who does not insist on themselves being the prominent focus of the video. I think that takes real balls and I admire them as a group for doing so.”

Meshuggah – Bleed (TEASER)
At long last! Everyone’s favorite Swedish tech-metalers, Meshuggah, have offered up a sneak peak at the first video from their critically-acclaimed new record, obZen. Fittingly, the Killswitch Productions-helmed clip gets a cinematic trailer, and Mike Pecci and Ian McFarland’s eerie horror flick aesthetic is immediately noticeable. The video stills are exceedingly creepy in a sort of Francis Bacon vs. The Cell sense. Who’s pumped? Keep an eye out for the official worldwide debut of the entire music video very, very soon. And in the meantime…

Meshuggah are currently on the last few dates of their North American tour with Ministry. Photos of the band’s April 27, 2008 concert at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts have hit the net, and are appropriately-intense. During the tour, drummer Thomas Hakke has been keeping busy, discussing the new record with the press. You can catch video interviews with Hakke at Metal Injection, Boston.tv, Metal Machine, and Sick Drummer.

Ministry head honcho Al Jourgensen recently sat down for a lengthy video interview with MP3.com. Filmed in Al’s hotel room on the eve of the band’s final performance in San Francisco, the chat centers on the end of Jourgensen’s long-running band, and what, exactly, he plans to fill his time with post-Ministry. And, consider this your last reminder, Ministry’s final ever world tour – the appropriately-dubbed C U LaTouR – is winding down, propelling Al and his band toward their final gig ever, on May 10th at the House of Blues in Chicago. Along for the ride are Swedish tech metal behemoths Meshuggah and Vegas skuzzsters Hemlock.

There is so many great bands releasing new albums this year it’s amazing. Just to name a few, you have young talented thrashers, Black Tide to release their Debut album Light From Above that I think will surprise a lot of people and blow them away. You have All That Remains that will be releasing their follow up to The Fall Of Ideals this summer, you have Children Of Bodom’s Blooddrunk and supposedly in September we will see the new Metallica record.

Those are just a few that we have to look forward to. Some that have already been released or also released soon are Meshuggah’s new one obZen that comes out tomorrow on Nuclear Blast , Death Angel just released Killing Season, Byzantine put out Oblivion Beckons, a great record right before breaking up and Grief Of War, the Japanese thrashers released their 3 year old debut record for the first time in America on Prosthetic Records. Testament will be releasing their next record The Formation OF Damnation on April 29th. You can hear a song More Than Meets The Eye (No it’s not the Transformers theme song) from The Formation Of Damnation on Thier Official Myspace site. Damn the list goes on and on! Disturbed is releasing a new record this year as well and we are supposed to see a new Slipknot record too. Both of which bands are going to be on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour. Light This City will be back in the studio some time this year. I’m not sure if the new record will be released in ‘08 or not but I’ll be checking on that from time to time. Lastly for all you haters out there, Trivium is supposed to release something new this year as well.

It used to be that a band would take 3 or four years before releasing a new record and often times it would be either well worth the wait or a substandard piece of cat shit. Now days metal bands take two years at the most and release great recording with no filler what so ever. And even between you have side projects from members of the bands that make for great head banging.

So in summary, 2008 is going to be a kick ass year in Metal!
