Scott Ian Talks About Dan Nelson and Anthrax

Metal Hammer spoke exclusively with Scott Ian today about Dan Nelson’s departure from Anthrax, working with John Bush again, and the future of Anthrax in general.  The controversial back and forth about Dan Nelson’s firing, I mean quitting, oops, I mean illness is actually getting quite old.
In my opinion, while talented, Dan Nelson wasn’t with Anthrax long enough for the story of his leaving to warrant more than 3 days or so of front page metal news. So unless John Bush decides to permanently rejoin the band, I’ll probably leave this story with Scott Ian’s words.

Testament won the Metal Album Of The Year Award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. Um…we’re not even half way through the year and there is a plethora of other great shit coming out the second half of 2008.
But anyway, that’s cool and good for them because The Formation Of Damnation is a great album. Now if you wonder how they won just take a look at the bands they were up against. Bullet For My Valentine, Children Of Bodom, Down and Atreyu. The only band that in my opinion had a chance is Children Of Bodom, with …read more

Another Interview About Dimebag Darrell W/ Vinnie Paul And Rita Haney

Here are a few excerpts from an interview with Rita Haney (Dimebag Darrell’s ex-girlfriend) and Vinnie Paul (If you don’t know who Vinnie Paul is then you shouldn’t be here). Anyway It came out of Metal Hammer’s January Issue. Three years later you’d think people would stop asking the same damn questions to the same people.
Metal Hammer: Do you think that had Darrell not been murdered that he and Vinnie might have eventually made their peace with Phil, and PANTERA might have gotten back together?

You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me!

I hate this guy. Ville Valo judging Metal Hammer’s Get In The Ring with Oderus Urungus from Gwar…WTF? You may as well have Lemmy judge a rap Battle. Ville is not metal, his band is not metal, hell, his belt buckle probably isn’t even metal. Come on Metal Hammer, you can find better hosts than Ville. I think I’m going to go throw up now.
