I want YOU, the readers to design the cover art. It has to be your own original work.You design the cover art submit it to me and I’ll decide by the end of the month who the winner is and announce it here as always.

A few things it needs to have. It needs be in a perfect square so it can be shrunk down to the size of a cd sleeve. It has to say on it somewhere “MetalMartyr.Com” and “Vol. 2“. It can be hand drawn or done on a PC. Whatever as long as it’s your own work. Make it “METAL” but don’t be too cliche.

There are a few other rules.

1. This contest is only open to US and Canadian residents.
2. All submissions must be Emailed to me by the 22nd of February.
3. It must be in a format that Windows can read.

The winner will be announced on the 29th and will also get a copy of the compilation. Email all submissions to me at the address below with the words “Shuffle Contest” in the subject line. Also make it a reasonable file size. Any questions just email me.

This is a used iPod Shuffle. I have had it since mid December and it has been well taken care of. It comes with all original accessories and in original packaging. It will come packed with all sorts of music already on it.

I went out tonight and picked up a few things, Lamb Of God’s Sacrament Producer Edition. I haven’t had a chance to play around with it yet but I’ll do a review this weekend. I also picked up All That Remains The Fall Of Ideals. I’m liking it so far, a bit better than Behind Silence And Solitude. It has a better vocal variety. I also got a free Radio Rebellion DVD from FYE that I’m going to watch and throw in the December prize pack.

GMAN contacted me last night so I sent out the warchest to him this morning. Sorry for all you guys that had hopes for a second chance. I think there may have been an issue with his yahoo filtering his email. I’ve had this same issue before.

Thats about covers it for tonight. I’ll get busy this weekend posting some good stuff. Until then I have a Pint of Grolsch and a 5th of Crown Roy-al to relax with. I hope everyone is enjoying and taking advantage of the Free Download Friday. Until tomorrow.

1. All my trash talking about Bush and the war in Iraq you wouldn’t think I spent 13 years in the Military. Unpatriotic to hate the war and a mentally incapable president? No. Just telling the truth and hoping for a solution.

2. When I was very young my first favorite band was Huey Lewis and The News. It wasn’t until my early teens, did my love for the metal arts come about.

3. The first song I learned to play on guitar was Wipe Out on an old short scale nylon string acoustic guitar. My mother to this day hates that song and any mention of me playing it. WTF did she expect with no lessons and nothing else to do in a shitty small town.

4. I hate spiders but I can handle scorpions with my bare hands. I don’t know why…

5. I love the movie “Forrest Gump”. Every time it’s on TV I watch it all the way through. That’s all I got to say about that.

6. I don’t understand how someone could live without music. My life has always revolved around music. I live for it, it’s my passion, my first love, even though I can’t read a note of sheet music. If the entire planet literally turned dog-shit around me and all I had left was music, I would be able carry on with that.

7. And lastly, I can’t stand people that recognize that they have a problem and do nothing about it. It pisses me off. If you know you have a problem then stop talking about it and take action, STUPID!

8. I’m going to add one more here. I bet a lot of you didn’t know I also do a blog at the Health and Science Channel called Healthandmen.com.

I’m afraid I’m going to have to end my Meme here. Sorry folks, but I’m sure it will carry on elsewhere. Peace!

I’m going to Build my own fantasy band. Sort of like the whole fantasy sports teams that a lot of people do online. You can pick up to 6 band members but no less than 4. A drummer, bass player, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocalist, and lastly an optional member such as a keyboard or additional guitar player. Your vocalist can be a rhythm guitar or bass player as well but they have to be this combo in real life. They have to be real musicians, any musician from any music era/genre dead or alive, and when you are finished you can name your band. Naming your band is optional because cool band names are hard to come by and I’d hate to see someone post a cool band name and someone else steal it for their own real band. Get your creative juices flowing and don’t hold back.

In two weeks I will put all the names of the people that comment into a hat, bowl or whatever and draw 1 winner. The winner will receive their choice of any CD they want that is $25.00 or less from amazon.com . This will be a U.S. resident only contest due to shipping costs and arrangements. When the winner is announced and contacted they will then let me know what CD they want by going to amazon.com and sending me the link of the CD they want that way there is no confusion or complaints. You must comment in this post. Multiple comments by a single person will not increase chances of winning, one entry per person. If the winner e-mails me the link and they want a Justin Timberlake CD they will automatically be disqualified and banned from Metalmartyr.com for life! I don’t care if you say it’s for your sister, those are the rules.
