So lets look at a few things. Why isn’t metal as mainstream as most other genres of music? It is…just not on a mass basis. Why? Because if a metal band puts out a record, the radio only plays the “Radio-friendly” tracks. Stone Sour for example. In my opinion, modern rock as we know it is dead. There are very few credible bands these days in the scene to keep it alive. Just about any rock station you listen to is either playing Nickelback, jet, classic rock hits and 80’s and 90’s stuff. There is no new bands these days that are making an impact.
