Renowned for their status as agents provocateur of the underground hard rock and industrial metal scenes, the latex defining and pop-culture defying Genitorturers return with the Nov. 3 release of Blackheart Revolution [G-Force/MVD Entertainment].

Carrie Underwood Actually Does A Good Motley Crue Home Sweet Home Cover
March 11, 2009 by Scott
Carrie Underwood covered Motley Crue’s Home Sweet Home for the exit song on America Idol according to MTV.com. Home Sweet Home came off of Theater Of Pain and was the best track on that album. Probably my all time favorite Motley Crue song. Carrie Undewood’s cover of it is actually pretty good. Nothing I would pay for or listen to on a regular basis, but she does an honorable job singing it. Kind of gives it have a slight country tone to it. And hey, it’s better than Lil’ Wayne trying to be a rock star.
Dr. Feelgood Is Getting Resurrected For Crue Fest 2
March 2, 2009 by Scott
I still haven’t quite decided where Motley Crue fits yet. Do I put them over at the rock dose or here? It doesn’t matter really, I guess. Check it out; Motley Crue is celebrating 20 years since they put out a really solid record by playing Dr. Feelgood in it’s entirety at Crue Fest 2! They’ll have a Dr. Feelgood theme going on for the shows too. Dr. Feelgood will see a Re-release this spring on Eleven-7 records. I think I’ll actually buy that, seeing my first copy was on cassette and I haven’t seen it in probably 15 …read more

One of the strip clubs mentioned in Motley Crue’s song “Girls, Girls, Girls” caught fire last Thursday. West Hollywood’s “The Body Shop” on Sunset Boulevard caught fire sometime early Thursday morning.
One of may strip clubs mentioned in the Motley Crue song, The Body Shop had been active since the 1960’s…you know, back when the Girls, Girls, Girls still kept hair down There, There, There. Here is the video for Girl, Girls, Girls from 21 years ago, 1987.

Dear Tommy Lee, Please Don’t.
November 18, 2008 by Scott
Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee has tried many things outside of Motley Crue to include being a turn-table spinning DJ. Some may remember that one acoustic song “Hold Me Down“, which was kind of catchy but still…not very good. You may also recall Tommy Lee trying to jump in to the nu-metal scene with his Methods Of Mayhem and their single “Get Naked” (Video Below).
According to an interview conducted by Hellena Mihailidou of Metalzone.gr, a Greek metal site, Tommy is up to no good again with plans of a new Methods Of Mayhem album.
Metalzone: Personal plans?Tommy: I am working on a …read more

Video Blast Zone 10/3 Going Olde School
Ah, to be a teenager again and not have a care in the world. Except maybe what your parents are going to do to you for getting suspended for smoking on school grounds. Or maybe where you’re going to get gas money to get back and fourth from work after school for the rest of the week, after you blew your paycheck on CD’s/Tapes and cigarettes/pot or whatever. Back when a cd didn’t cost much more than 15 bucks, cigarettes were about $1.70 a pack, gas wasn’t much more than a buck a gallon and a dime-bag was a decent …read more
The Scrap Metal Report 7/30
July 30, 2008 by Scott
Time for another quick Scrap Metal Report. I went to see the Brooklyn, NY based band Early man last night so I’m kind of tired after getting home at 1 am and getting up for work at 6am. You’ll see the results of that here in a bit. Let’s get started so maybe IO can get a good night’s sleep. Sleep? Who needs that, right? I do. It’s going to be a long day Friday at Mayhem Fest and If I don’t catch up a little tonight I’ll be draggin’ ass in Virgina Beach.
There is a new Ozzy impersonator on …read more
The Scrap Metal Report 1st Edition 7/29
July 29, 2008 by Scott
Metal Shavings will now be called “The Scrap Metal Report” because I think it sounds cooler and I run this show so I can do that kind of stuff. I’ll come up with a logo later. If you’re not familiar with Metal Shavings, it’s basically a breakdown of news events in metal compiled into a list and summarized.
