L.O.G. New American Gospel
I’ve said that this is one of my least favorite Lamb Of God album and I still stand to that, but my dislike for this album is gone. I hated this album the first time I heard it. Maybe it was because I was on more of an Ashes Of The Wake kick and this just doesn’t compare to that album. Maybe it’s the vocal difference that I don’t like as much as the newer albums. I haven’t been a fan of Lamb Of God for very long now. It just started last summer. I had heard of L.O.G. a million times and even sampled some of the cd’s briefly at FYE but sometimes you don’t get a good listen on the listening stations. Not only that but Randy Blythe’s vocals can be an acquired taste. I didn’t really get interested until I heard Laid To Rest. What really got me was the guitars and the slightly off beat rhythm of the song. Anyway, here is how I rate my Lamb Of God collection.

So you know how I commented awhile back on how I wish I had got into This band awhile back? Well after buying Ashes Of The Wake, I wanted more. I ordered Sacrament online and it was taking some time to get here so in the mean time I bought As The Palaces Burn and just today I bought New American Gospel. While I can tell you that I enjoy Palaces, the production value of Gospel is quite disappointing and it’s making it difficult for me to really like it.
