British Invasion: Saxon

Although they had a leading roll in the NWOBHM movement, Saxon never really broke into the U.S. heavy metal scene the way most of the other bands in the movement did.
Starting orignally as Son Of A Bitch with line up Biffy Byford on vocals, Paul Quinn and Graham Oliver on guitars, Pete Gill on drums and Steve Dawson on bass but shortly changed their nameto Saxon and started touring as support with more established bands such as Motorhead (You’ll see them tomorrow) .
British invasion: Diamond Head

One of the leading bands of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal was Diamond Head. In 1976 Diamond Head was formed by Brian Tatler And Duncan Scott, two school friends, and later hired Sean Harris as their vocals. Bass duties would be covered by Colin Kimberly after various others had come and gone.
