Meshuggah – Bleed
It’s here, and it doesn’t disappoint! After releasing a teaser trailer last week, the Swedish calculatorcore masterminds in Meshuggah have unveiled the video for “Bleed” — in all of its gory, uber-frightening glory. As previously reported, the clip was produced by Ian McFarland and Killswitch Productions. Directed, written and edited by McFarland and Mike Pecci, “Bleed” boasts a fittingly-cinematic horror flick tone, and some genuine scares – seriously, have you looked at that picture up there?

What the directors had to say about the video:

“Working with Meshuggah was truly an honor for us. It’s extremely cool to work with a band who is willing to allow the music and imagery to speak for itself and who does not insist on themselves being the prominent focus of the video. I think that takes real balls and I admire them as a group for doing so.”

At long last! Everyone’s favorite Swedish tech-metalers, Meshuggah, have offered up a sneak peak at the first video from their critically-acclaimed new record, obZen. Fittingly, the Killswitch Productions-helmed clip gets a cinematic trailer, and Mike Pecci and Ian McFarland’s eerie horror flick aesthetic is immediately noticeable. The video stills are exceedingly creepy in a sort of Francis Bacon vs. The Cell sense. Who’s pumped? Keep an eye out for the official worldwide debut of the entire music video very, very soon. And in the meantime…

Meshuggah are currently on the last few dates of their North American tour with Ministry. Photos of the band’s April 27, 2008 concert at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts have hit the net, and are appropriately-intense. During the tour, drummer Thomas Hakke has been keeping busy, discussing the new record with the press. Meshuggah Set New Release For March 7th, 2008

Meshuggah has set a release date for their next CD obZen for March 7th, 2008 and will support Ministry on their U.S. and Canadian tour. This is a band that has been around awhile and I still think they don’t get enough credit in the U.S. Anyway, Below are the dates.
