Down Tour North America With Evil Army and Weedeater UPDATED

Down is heading out on tour once again in supports of Down III: Over The Under with Evil Army and Weedeater. Down III has sold over 128,000 copies since it’s release on September 25th of 2007, a far cry from their platinum plus selling debut album, NOLA. Of course times have changed and very few metal bands see platinum hits these days with illegal downloading.
Down IV, obviously being the bands fourth album is supposed to be released some time this year. The dates below have been confirmed so far.

Down Announce North America Tour Dates

Apeshit.org report that Down has announced some North American Tour Dates Starting January 18th entitled An “Evening With Down” which will start with an intro video followed by a two hour set by the band. The dates are as follows.

New Down Songs At Their Myspace

Three new DOWN songs — “N.O.D.”, “Never Try” and “I Scream” — have been posted on the group’s MySpace page. “I Scream” is also available for streaming at this location (Windows Media). All three cuts come off DOWN’s new album, “III – Over the Under”, which will be released in the U.S. on September 25 through ILG/Warner Music Group (one day earlier internationally via Roadrunner Records).

New Orleans metal act, Down has released the name a date for their upcoming record entitled Down III:Over The Under. This is the third record for the Louisiana band, featuring former Pantera (Superjoint Ritual) front man Phil Anselmo, former Pantera Bass player Rex Brown, Drummer Jimmy Bower of Eye Hate God, C.O.C. guitar/vocals Pepper Keenan, and Crowbar Guitarist Kirk Windstien.
