I got things done kind of early yesterday so there was a bunch of fairly relevant news items that I missed.
Dave Mustaine says that he and producer Andy Sneep have decided that they have what they need to start recording the new Megadeth album.

Mass-Metal band All That Remains just finished up the first leg of their tour in support of their new release Overcome. Next week kicks off the next leg of their North American tour as direct support for Sweden’s  In Flames with Gojira and 36 Crazyfists opening. After that it’s off to Europe to co-headline with The Haunted with support acts with Johnny Truant and Deadlock. Tour dates are below. We (my friend Martin and I) got to the the venue (The National) in Richmond Virginia about an hour before my first interview of the event with Corey Beaulieu of Trivium. Nothing kills time like watching Robot Chicken on an iPod, so the time went by pretty quick. I made my phone call to the tour manager to let her know I was there, but she didn’t answer. Things didn’t go quite as planned last Saturday at the All That Remains and Trivium show. The tour manager had some issues with her Mac-book that had to be resolved and it through off my interviews. I didn’t get to interview Phil Labonte as planned but I did get to speak to Mike Martin and Oli Herbert, which was cool too. I did shoot about 200 pictures of the band during the first 3 songs. The other day All That Remains’ Front-man Phil Labonte said on his Myspace that he had planned on getting some new tracks up from Overcome on the ATR myspace. Unfortunately it wasn’t that easy and he apologized and said that he’s not making any promises, but hopefully we might see some new ATR tracks up Monday.
