Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Brooklyn, NY‘s TOMBS.

TOMBS (Mike Hill – guitar / vocals, Justin Ennis – drums, Carson Daniel James – bass) are currently writing the follow-up album to their self-titled EP (Black Box Recordings / Level Plane). TOMBS will record their new full-length and Relapse debut this August, which will see an early 2009 release. Audio samples taken from TOMBS self-titled release, as well as demo material from their forthcoming full-length, can be heard now via the band’s MySpace: MySpace.com/TombsBklyn.

Additionally, TOMBS has announced a number of European tour dates for this Fall. These dates will include a performance at the Trainspotting Fest in Germany alongside CAPSULE, ULTRA DOLPHINS, PULLING TEETH, and more. ORIGIN drummer John Longstreth will be the featured cover artist on the first cover of the newest digital drumming magazine, Sick Drummer Magazine. Longstreth’s cover feature, which debuts July 1st and can be previewed here, includes an exclusive interview and a full set video focusing on Longstreth’s movements and techniques during a recent live performance. THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN sees the worldwide premiere of their video for “Black Bubblegum”, the second video from their acclaimed new album Ire Works, today via MySpace. The video was shot in Los Angeles, CA with Ilan Sharone of Pneuamtic Pictures.
