I was given the opportunity last week to listen to Bigelf’s new CD Cheat the Gallows, and I absolutely love this band. While most of their songs wouldn’t be considered “metal”, one of their jams, titled “The Evils of Rock and Roll” is featured on Revolver Magazine’s free 21 song Metal Mayhem Compilation, which is the first song I heard by the group.
As part of the Progressive Nation Tour, Bigelf is currently touring with Dream Theater, Zappa Plays Zappa and Scale the Summit. Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy says:

Revolver’s Graphic Violence

Revolver Magazine’s October issue had a segment called “Graphic Violence“. It featured album covers that were controversial due to graphic images of evil, death, sex, etc. They had some really good picks of some great albums. A few included are Pantera’s original concept for Far Beyond Driven, Nashville Pussy’s Let Them Eat Pussy album, Cannibal Corpse‘ Butchered At Birth as well as Deicide’s Once Upon The Cross. Gorija Title New CD ‘The Way Of All Flesh’

French metal act, Gojira will follow up their last album From Mars To Sirius with The Way Of All Flesh. Singer Joe Duplantier told Revolver Magazine it’s “more intense, more brutal, and more melodic at the same time.” than From Mars To Serius. It will be release on October 14 in the U.S. through Prosthetic Records.
The album was tracked and produced in Los Angeles by Logan Mader.
