Samples of all Megadeth ‘Endgame’ Tracks Available
August 29, 2009 by Eric J
Amazon.de now has 30 second audio samples of every track from Megadeth’s upcoming album Endgame, being released by Roadrunner Records on September 15th.
Frontman Dave Mustaine had the following to say:
“Thematically, I’ve never been known to be a silent bystander in a world that needs our participation. As more is revealed about our former President’s legacy, a little-known yet staggeringly frightening document which was signed into law, named ‘Endgame’, has been uncovered. The album ‘Endgame’ is the most energetic music offering I have penned in over a decade and is far more believable than knowing someone signed ‘Endgame’ — the document …read more

Slipknot Announces Their 10th Anniversary Box Set
July 18, 2009 by Eric J
I am a fan of Slipknot. A huge fan. There it is, it’s out in the open, the new blogger for Metal Martyr is a Slipknot fan. I actually think that Slipknot is the group that brought me back to metal music, at a time when I felt that metal was dead. Say what you will, but on June 29th, 1999, they stormed onto the scene with their self titled debut album. Today, despite a few bumps along the way, they are still going strong.
Roadrunner will soon be releasing their 10th Anniversary Box Set, and the band would like to …read more
Killswitch Enagage Name Their New Album…Killswitch Engage
April 14, 2009 by Scott
Killswitch Engage have decided to release their new album due later out this year (June 30th) as a self titled release. Hopefully this won’t be their Black Album, although I do actually dig Metallica’s Black Album no matter how much I say that I don’t. I know, I’m all ass-backwards.
This time around they have reached out to an outside producer instead of Adam Dutkiewicz producing it, so it makes me wonder how much different it will sound. Brendan O’Brian, who was chosen to produce has produced for Pearl Jam, AC/DC and most notably in my opinion Mastodon’s Crack The …read more
Roadrunner United DVD
October 10, 2008 by Scott
This is kind of yesterdays news, but I think it’s still worth a mention. When I heard about the Roadrunner United project I thought it was a brilliant idea with just an amazing line-up. If you have yet to hear the Roadrunner United Compilation, I highly suggest you run out RIGHT NOW and buy it. After they recorded the All Star Sessions, they had a one off concert in NYC and filmed a DVD. Like three years later (Yeah, what took so long), they are releasing a 2 disc DVD of the even. Here is the release from Roadrunner …read more
Megadeth Begin Recording New Album
October 10, 2008 by Scott
It looks as if Dave Mustaine has put the gears in motion and Megadeth has begun to record the follow up to United Abominations. The brand new custom constructed studio has been named "Vic’s Garage". Just a quick note before I post what the announcement said: I’ve been a Megadeth fan for a long time and have spent a lot of money on Megadeth merch. I hate the fact that it’s almost a grueling process to register to become a forum member and even then you privileges are limited. It’s just like the Metallica fan club thing. As if …read more
Trivium…I Don’t Hate Them
October 1, 2008 by Scott
I bought Triviums new release Shogun yesterday and I’ve been listening to it on and off. With Shogun, Matt Heafy reaches back to Ascendancy with some of the vocals. I said before that I didn’t care for Ascendancy as much as I like The Crusade, but listening to Shogun and the older style Heafy screams, I had to check out Ascendancy again.
Megadeth Announce Tour With Judas Priest And Testament…In The UK.
September 30, 2008 by Scott
Damn, to be stuck in America with no fat wads of money to blow when things like this come around. Megadeth announce today that they will be touring with Judas Priest on Priest Feast with Testament opening in february. For real…why can’t we get more of that in the U.S.. I know we just had the Metal Masters Tour but come one. I really shouldn’t bitch about stuff like this because there are some fans that don’t get to see any good concerts. Below are the tour dates.
