Machine Head’s Phil Demmel Passes Out During Mayhem Fest Set
August 18, 2008 by Scott
Machine Head’s Phil Demmel passed out at last night’s Mayhem fest performance right towards the end of their set last night at The Nissan Pavilion in Virginia. It’s said that Phil is doing better and was severely dehydrated. he’ll be resting up for that last show at Darien Lake, NY, which is the last show of the Rockstar Mayhem Fest on August 19th.
I’m not trying to give a lesson in hydration here, but too much alcohol and not enough water in the sun and humidity can creep up on you out of nowhere. Dehydration can set in long before you …read more

This is the last Mayhem Fest post, I promise. When you go to something this big and get all sorts of pictures and video, it’s tough not to drag it out instead of posting one huge Jennifer Lopez ass-sized post, covering the entire thing all in one shot. However, all good thing must come to an end.

There will be more to come later. Until then here’s a little picture of the headliners.

I’ll even get some pictures of the smaller stages. The way they have it set up is perfect as far as scheduled bands. Every band I want to see is pretty much playing at a different time. I’m eager to see The Red Chord among the other great bands on this bill. You can see a complete list of bands and set times here. This …read more
