Bravewords.com reports that The Dong Open Air Festival in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany on July 17th through the 19th, sold in in 4 hours. You can find out what bands are performing at Dong at www.dongopenair.de. I’m sorry, but my juvenile mind chuckles every time I say “Dong Open Air“.
Megadeth will be headlining America’s first Revolver Golden Gods Awards on April 17th in Los Angeles.

I didn’t make it to Scion Rock Fest on Saturday, but I saw last last week that Nachmystium was not going to be playing the gig. At the time I didn’t know why, but this morning the new comes that they were rumored to be a Nazi band and when the promoters of the event got wind of this, they denied them their show. Lambgoat.com posted the following statement from frontman Blake Judd:

God Forbid are streaming their entire new record, Earthsblood on their Myspace. Earthsblood sees it’s release on century Media on February 24th.
Hatebreed guitarist Sean Martin has decided to resign from his duties in the Connecticut hardcore band. No details on the circumstances of is decision but there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood. Original guitarist Wayne Lozinak will step back in to the band to fill Sean’s vacant spot.

I mentioned earlier this week how to get Scion Rock Fest Tickets. It’s not an easy process unless you live in NC, SC or GA. Some metal sites have some up for grabs. Metal Sucks said they will have 20 pairs and Metal Injection put up 10 pairs yesterday. Metal Martyr? I’m just the little guy and I could only get two pairs. Scion Rock Fest: February 28th in Atlanta Georgia.
So far there is about 35 bands lined up for this show…and it’s FREE! It’s not that easy though. To get tickets you have to go to www.scion.com/rock/ and register your email address starting on 1/28. Metalsucks.net announced on Friday to Pack Your Bags for Atlanta, Georgia on February 28th. Scion Rock Fest is happening from noon top midnight that day and the line up is huge…and it’s free admission with ticket. How the hell do you get tickets?
