The plague in metal grows by the minute. It’s an epidemic that’s getting worse than the bird flu, SARS or even the Ebola virus.
A friend (Martin) and I went to a local show last night here in North Carolina to check out the band Seneca that recently got signed to Lifeforce Records. Seneca Signs To Lifeforce Records

 

 
Local NC band Seneca finally get’s their break with a contract from Lifeforce Records. Seneca released this statement on their Myspace page:
Yes, we did sign a deal with Lifeforce Records and we are very excited to have their support.
If you’re unfamiliar with the label they helped launch the careers of artists like Between the Buried and Me, Trivium, All That Remains, Caliban, and Heaven Shall Burn.
We do not have an official release date yet for our debut album Reflections on Lifeforce, but it will be out by early-mid 2009.  There will also be a limited pressing of Reflections that …read more

Check Out SENECA

Check out SENECA out of Charlotte, NC.  A local band to me I guess you could call them. SENECA is a death metal style band with some really cool grooves and the singer mixes the vocals up a bit. If your not into the “Cookie Monster” style vocals as some people like to call them, then chances are you won’t like this band. Some cool low tone growls with a few clean and higher pitched growls that I can only compare to Randy Blythe during the Burn The Priest era.
