Trivium Photos From The National In Richmond VA 10/18

Anyone that talks trash about Trivium has obviously never been to see them live. Saturday night was a great show. The Human Abstract opened up the show. I wasn’t in to them but they put on a good show as did 36 Crazyfists. I have to give it up for the headliners, Trivium and All That Remains. The last night of the co-headlining tour was Sunday in Charlotte NC. After that Trivium will be heading out to tour with Slayer on the Unholy Alliance Tour and ATR will be on tour with In Flames, Prosthetic Records label-mates Gojira and …read more

Trivium…I Don’t Hate Them

Trivium…I Don’t Hate Them

I bought Triviums new release Shogun yesterday and I’ve been listening to it on and off. With Shogun, Matt Heafy reaches back to Ascendancy with some of the vocals. I said before that I didn’t care for Ascendancy as much as I like The Crusade, but listening to Shogun and the older style Heafy screams, I had to check out Ascendancy again.

With less than two weeks until Shogun is officially released, Trivium have posted the song Throes Of Perdition on their Myspace. Vince over at Metalsucks.net says: “Shogun feels like the band’s most honest release to date.”. This is another band that is going to get flack for anything they put out, whether it’s a masterpiece or 45 minutes of garbage. Shogun drops on the 30th and they are currently on tour with All That Remains.

Trivium And All That Remains Co-Headline Tour Dates

From Myspace:
“TRIVIUM and ALL THAT REMAINS. The bands will head out on a co-headlining six-week tour, alternating the closing slot. 36 CRAZYFISTS and THE HUMAN ABSTRACT will support, making for an evening of eclectic and uncompromising metal that will captivate audiences across the United States.”
This could be a cool tour I guess. However I don’t want to drive to Charlotte on a Sunday and I’m going to see Carcass on September 11th so a 3 hours drive to see ATR the next day is out of the question. It’s come around again and there are way too many shows in …read more

It’s Official. Trivium’s New CD Title Was Stolen From A Movie

No, it’s not Debbie Does Dallas. It’s Shogun. At least most people know of the movie title as opposed to the Japanese meaning of it. Shogun actually means “Commander” or “General”. What’s this have to do with Trivium’s music? How the hell should I know? What the hell does magnets have to do with Metallica’s new record? Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Anyway, Trivium have released the following info for those that want to read it and don’t think “Trivium sucks”. But you know you haters are going to read it all the way through anyway, just so …read more
