Bay Area Thrashers Skinlab release their long awaited new LP The Scars Between Us 9/15, via Stand and Deliver/RED, and have paired up with San Diego’s Mower for the Sons of a Sik World Tour.
The outing, sponsored by Sik World Clothing, Jagermeister and Loudside.com, sees Skinlab hitting major markets across the US, including several west coast CD release parties, starting Thursday 9/19 at The Voodoo Lounge in San Jose, Monday 9/21 at The Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, and Tuesday 9/22 at San Diego’s Brick By Brick. Band founder and guitarist Tim Roth has been through a set of tragedies that could have put anyone out for a long while. Two of Roth’s best friends succumbed to a rare form of cancer within two months of one another last year, the tragedy made all the worse by the fact that his father was diagnosed with cancer as the band was demoing new material. He passed away just 10 days before Christmas.
