Skinlab’s “The Scars Between Us” Hits Stores, Teaming Up With Mower for Tour

Bay Area Thrashers Skinlab release their long awaited new LP The Scars Between Us 9/15, via Stand and Deliver/RED, and have paired up with San Diego’s Mower for the Sons of a Sik World Tour.
The outing, sponsored by Sik World Clothing, Jagermeister and Loudside.com, sees Skinlab hitting major markets across the US, including several west coast CD release parties, starting Thursday 9/19 at The Voodoo Lounge in San Jose, Monday 9/21 at The Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, and Tuesday 9/22 at San Diego’s Brick By Brick. Skinlab Posts New Tour Dates
Groove metal band Skinlab have announced their upcoming U.S. tour dates.
Formed in 1994 by Steev Esquivel (vocals, bass), former guitarist Mike Roberts and drummer Paul Hopkins, Skinlab took the San Francisco, CA Bay Area music scene by storm. Machine Head’s Robb Flynn took notice of the band, and helped them to secure their first record deal (Bound Gagged and Blindfolded) and sold out European tour.
After guitarist Mike Roberts left the band in 1998, Skinlab recruited guitarists Scott Sargeant (Killing Culture) and Steve “Snake” Green (Skrew) and unleashed their limited edition EP Eyesore soon after. In 1999 the band recorded Disembody: …read more
