Slayer, Megadeth Team Up for American Carnage
Slayer. Megadeth. Two names synonymous with fierce, crunching power. Two bands whose histories are inevitably intertwined in defining the thrash/metal genre. Individually, their respective prowess and accomplishments are impressive; but together, they’re brutal and unstoppable. Megadeth and Slayer will join forces to co-headline “American Carnage,” the most blistering, the most explosive, and the most eagerly anticipated mega-tour of the winter – and you do not want to miss it.
“American Carnage” will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, WA for a 26-date trek across North America that will include the six Canadian dates postponed earlier this month. Tickets for …read more
Lazarus A.D. Thrash with Japanese Fans at Loud Park
Wisconsin’s Lazarus A.D. recently returned from their first ever trip overseas to Japan’s Loud Park festival in Tokyo. Needless to say, the band had an amazing experience. They were the third band to play on the Big Rock stage on October 18th. The stage was headlined by Slayer and also featured Children Of Bodom, Hatebreed and Papa Roach among others. Lazarus A.D. sampled some foreign cuisine, was surprised by eager fans waiting at their hotel room door to sign autographs and take photos, and played to over 10,000 people. Multiple circle pits tore through the crowd as Jeff Paulick, Dan …read more

Slayer Announce Date Of New Release
May 8, 2009 by Scott
I apologize for the lack of updates this week. Things have been kind of slow/busy/lazy. Sometimes that just how it is around the beginning of the month. Anway…
Slayer have announced a July 7th date for their upcoming release. A release that seems really close yet we know absolutely nothing about except that it will have the song Psychopathy Red on it. No album art and not even a name yet. You know what would be cool? A self titled Slayer album. Just ‘Slayer‘.
They’ve kept pretty quiet about this new album and maybe that’s what they want. I certainly hope …read more
2009: The First 100 Days
April 29, 2009 by Scott
So, 2009. I don’t even know where to begin. So far, so good as far as metal year goes. This is in no particular order so bare with me.
We got a new Lamb Of God album that I still think is not as good as everyone else thinks; and a new Mastodon album that is musically amazing but people seem to bitch about because it’s not heavy enough or something.
Cannibal Corpse release an album that is, well, another good Cannibal Corpse album. Nothing extravagant enough to go on a murder spree, but a good album. Cattle Decapitation almost convince me …read more

Everyone called it; it was too easy. So far there are only a few dates but here is the official press release (Partial at the bottom) for the Megadeth/Slayer tour with poster. Three bands that have had feuds, Megadeth-Slayer-Machine Head. Hopefully all the boys are grown up now and there won’t be any stupidness between them. Suicide Silence will be opening the shows. No idea of there will be more dates with this line-up but we can only hope.

Dave Mustaine Hints At Upcoming Tour With Slayer?
April 10, 2009 by Scott
Dave Mustaine hinted at a possible upcoming tour that has potential to “squash feuds” on one of his Megadeth Forums updates yesterday.
Droogies!
Today is the 9th of April and I have agreed to doing something last night that I am sure a lot of people are going to be very excited about, and something that I had hoped would one day lead to another one of the potential feuds going away for good, if not for a long while.
I can’t confirm the band or the dates yet, and I have to go get my youngster up for school. Rest assured, …read more
